Hi Everyone,
The Pig Out will be at Kirth Kiln Reserve this year.
This park is near Gembook.
Full details are at http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/resources05/05_0358.pdf
My camping guide book shows that you can have dogs there
Kurth Kiln Regional Park is home a historic kilns that once produced charcoal for gas producer units fitted to cars during the World War II.  The park is located 9km north of Gembrook.
I have never been there before.  My book mentions that camping is tiered camping and carry gear over bollards to sites.

We need to know numbers of who is attending including camping the night so catering can be organised.

PS Daylight Savings will start on the Sunday Morning at 2am so you will lose an hours sleep.

Regards,
Sharon

Hi,

Sorry for the incorrect information, didn't even relise I had posted this.

Not sure the video will work, each presentation is individual to the crowd - well it's the same slide deck but presented in different ways depending on the audiences understandng.

How many are actually attending?

Steve and I spoke to Dave from the Mt Dare Hotel at the 4x4 Show regarding the Simpson.  Have a look at his web site http://www.mtdare.com.au/index.php - it is excellent and has heaps of useful info.  Also had a look at the Dessert Parks Pass information that you get.  The pack gives you general information about various parks, trip prepartion and three Westprint Maps.  Petrol is currently $1.92 per litre there (forgot to ask about Diesel, must have thought we still had the Pathy).  A 4.2 Patrol should need an extra Jerry on top of the 135 or so litres the Patrol carries.  He recommends that you travel after 20th July (ie after all the school holidays).  A bottle of water at the Hotel is $2.40 cheaper that the $3 at the 4x4 Show.

Geoff I will have a heap of information for you on Wed night.

The venue for the training night is

Rucker DWC - Chartered Accountants
Suite 12, 602 Whitehorse Rd
Mitcham

It's on the South side of Whitehorse Rd, about 400m East of Mitcham Rd.

The electric doors will be locked at that time. If no-one is at the door to let you in, give me a call on my mobile (in the members listing)

Cheers
